    (RF) Receiver

The EAS radio frequency receiver is the beating heart of the EAS system and is compatible with all types of automatic doors. A simple push on the key fob or actuator switch triggers an operating sequence to open the door.

    • Technology - Radio-frequency
    • Transmitter frequency - 433 MHz
    • Max. detection distance - 25M (open field)
    • Power consumption - 30 mA
    • Supply voltage of receiver - 12 - 24Vac +/- 15%; 12 - 30Vdc +/- 10%
    • Receiver output - relay with switch-over contact (free of potential)
    • Max. voltage - 48Vac - 60Vdc
    • Max. current - 1A (resistive)
    • Max. switching power - 30W (dc)/48VA (ac)
    • Temperature range - minus 10° C to 55° C

Any system using SLR switches or RF fobs requires at least one EAS (RF) Receiver. This receiver has a maximum detection distance of 25M (open field). The maximum number of programmable transmitter buttons/fobs per receiver is 100.

An activation control is used to switch an automatic door operator. The correct choice of control is critical since this will dictate how well the automated entrance works. The selection of switching methods will regulate traffic flow and prescribe how and by whom the door is used. Your choice may also dictate whether the automated doors are labelled 'Low Energy Swing Doors' or 'Powered Doors'.

How to Make the Correct Choice. Initially, the choice is twofold: automatic activation or manual activation. Consideration should be given to the following: traffic flow or density and traffic profile. High-traffic situations in public or commercial buildings require frequent unhindered door switching via microwave motion sensors (or detectors). Low-traffic situations, usually residential applications or automated doors specifically designed for the exclusive use of those requiring automated access, can be controlled manually using actuators (or push pads).
