The 4040SE Sentronic closer provides a single-point hold open for fire and smoke barrier doors. The 4040SE Series is UL listed for metal smoke barrier or labelled fire doors and meets ANSI/BHMA A156.15 and NFPA 101 Life Safety Code standards. It is cUL-listed for self-closing doors without hold open. Each closer is backed by a 2-year limited warranty, offers optional plated finishes and integrates with existing fire and life safety systems, minimising danger to life and property under fire conditions.

- For interior fire and smoke barrier doors. Single-acting cylinder on door top rail
- Exposed arm and track to the head frame
- Maximum Opening - Butt hinge template allows 110° with hold open points between 85° and 110°
- Optional SEL special long track allows hold open points between 90° and 120° in approximately 3° increments
- Consult Relcross for all pivot-mounted installations
- Butt Hinges should not exceed 127mm in width.
- Auxiliary Stop is recommended at the hold open point
- All Weather Fluid - Performs without variation: Manual Closers - between -35° to +49°, Electronic HO Closers & Automatic Operators - between +2° to +49°C. At approx. +75°C, the fluid will begin to leak from the mechanism. The flash point is approx. 110°C
The 4040SE Series functions as a full rack-and-pinion closer when the hold-open option is not engaged or the electrical current to the door is interrupted. The single-lever arm is specifically designed for interior doors.
